Dear Family & Friends,
This week has been great! Our investigator, that was going to get baptized on May 28th, pushed the date back to August 1st. We were a little bummed about it, but we realized that this is better for her anyways. Because her family will be down that week, and her boyfriend will have moved here to Jenks before that time. So, in the end, it's not about what missionaries are here; but about the life that's changed by the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now for an interesting twist on my life as a missionary...
We are currently homeless! Yay!!! Yeah, no. Our life is being flipped around, upside down. The Mission President's wife, Sister Shumway, called us on Friday and asked about my knees (since they have been hurting recently). I mentioned that we were the Elders that were having the Brown Recluse problem, and I told her that about when I had a big one crawl across my foot while I was in the bathroom, and the other time when another one almost bit me while I was doing my morning studies, and the final straw was on Thursday night when I almost stepped on one in our bedroom with my bare foot...
Well, she freaked out and told us we couldn't stay there anymore. She called President Shumway and he said that we needed to find a new place to live. So we were packing for most of Friday and looked for an apartment for most of Saturday. We found a good place, and the Housing Coordinator came and gave the okay today. So we'll be moving into the apartment on the 6th of June. Until then, we're going to be staying with members.
We're super grateful for their help and for them being so willing to let us stay in their homes. God always provides a way for his servants to continue his work.
I love y'all! Have a fantastic week!
