Dear Family and Friends,
We've been really busy this week! It snowed another 5 inches of snow on top of the 8 inches of snow that turned to slush and then froze to ice when it dropped to 11 degrees that night! Members don't want us to come out to see them, but we go anyways cuz I can't stand staying in our apartment.
So we went tracting on Tuesday and met a couple people. We met a really nice lady at one house we stopped at. We met her husband first, and he told us that we were wasting our time and to get going so we don't stand around in the cold. He closed the door, and we started to walk away. His wife came running out and apologized for her husband rudeness, and tried to give us $20. We told her we couldn't accept money, to which she said it could be a donation. I told her thank you, we really couldn't accept it. She didn't have time to talk to us, but I figure we can go back later and see if we can talk to her again. Anyways, we left and she kinda stood on the doorstep looking confused.
I didn't feel like her husband was being really rude, but I guess that's cause he was nicer than some of the reactions I've had on my missions. I think it's funny whenever people get mad or try to argue with us and it goes absolutely nowhere. I also think it's sad, because they aren't prepared to listen to the message we bring.
Like now, for example. I am sitting in the public library emailing, and a guy that we tracted into a couple months ago, is in the library and he's staring at us with angry eyes. When we knocked on his door, he came out of the house cussing at us and was trying to start a fight cause he got sent to jail because of a Mormon... So he feels it's necessary to hate all Mormons!
I'm going to have to cut this email short cuz he's making me uncomfortable. I love you all! Stay safe and warm!
