Dear Family & Friends,
I've reached Mountain View, Missouri! It was a long drive from Fayetteville to Mt Vernon, and then we had to drive back down to Mountain View. I left the transfer point at noon, and we didn't get to Mountain View until 5. I was super exhausted, and I was really done with sitting in a car. But my day wasn't over yet, we had to drive to the church and let a member in to put food in the fridge for the B's Thanksgiving dinner on Friday.
Friday was a very interesting day: We went to one of our investigator's (now a member) house, and helped them build a hut (because they are homeless and they are living in a tent). We finished bolting the metal siding onto the back of the hut, and got the metal siding (for the front) cut as well. If we stay on track, our newest member of the ward will be in her finished hut by the middle of December!
Saturday was our investigator's baptism! It went great! The spirit was there and we kinda had some members show up... The ones that mattered anyways!
Sunday was pretty cool too! The 2nd counselor forgot that there was a new missionary, so I didn't have to talk on Sunday. But I'm pretty sure he'll call on me to speak next Sunday.
So far, it looks like I have my work cut out for me. There are a lot of less-active members in the ward, and I know that we need to find them. It's going to be hard, but hopefully the members will assist me in my search for the lost sheep.
I love you all! I pray that God will be with you. To guide you through the trials that wait for you, to raise you up when you fall, and to give you strength when you have none.
